"One God, One Passion, One Community" was the theme for this years Ecumenical Services. Monsignor Leonard Pivonka, Pastor of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church and Father Julian Cabrerra, Pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Co-Celebrated the service on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Deacon Jim Carlisle of St. Elizabeth also assisted. The Ecumenical Services are hosted during Holy Week by Pastor Krin Van Tatenhove at the First Presbyterian Church at 77 N. Adams.
Pastor Kathleen Kasper of Immanuel Lutheran Church has been organizing the services for many years. Seven of the local Alice churches unite to provide a multi-denominational service during Holy Week. This years theme "is intended to remind everyone that despite the perceptual differences in theology, everyone is worshiping the same God and within our community, what affects one, affects all."
